So I haven't been around much in the last few years but some people here may remember me.

I don't know you, but congo rats on the impending arrival:)

To feed your narcissism, I am going to make up some fun facts about you, seeing as I know none other than said impending arrival :)

1) You enjoy long walks on the beach
2) Your middle name is Fred
3) You have a cat that somehow resembles Stewie Griffin.

I think that's a good start :)

I glanced at your post and blended the first two 'facts'. I thought you said he takes long walks on the French.

Somehow I missed this posts. I'll blame it on my busy past couple weeks.

Eli: Good thinking. but do you think 60" is big enough?

Pixi: I know. I'm nervous about getting too much stuff that we can't use. We were very conservative when we registered for our wedding, but this is different. add on top of that that most baby stores don't have the awesome return policies as the stores where we registered for our wedding. For the baby stores, any return is store credit only. The only exception is if we have a gift receipt and the item was purchased with cash.

Bammy: i don't know you, but welcome back. :) Your assumptions are not too bad. I do like walking on beaches, that is, until it starts to hurt my feet. My middle name is not Fred. But every time I hear the name "Fred," I think "Derf." I called a customer Derf once. He wasn't happy about it. I don't watch famliy guy, but I do have a cat. his name is Brewster. He's fun and playful for the most part. He likes attention, but will threaten to bite you if you don't leave him alone when he's done with your attention.

TMO: That't not necessarily an incorrect statement.

You're right. Safer to go with a wall projector and turn your living room into a home theatre.

lol, I suppose I'll have to be a bit more inventive with my made up fun facts about you next time;)

Though, long walks on the French is a good one. it just plain doesnt' make sense. That's like saying "i love listening to eagles flying"....or...something. Hmm. Attempt at wittiness: failed. I acknowledge this.

Bobaloo, Congratulations! I haven't been around much but I do have 4 kids of my own. (Probably why I'm not around much) I wouldn't worry about the store credit at baby stores with the returns because you will probably use it after the baby comes. There are all kids of unplanned needs and fun little toys to buy after the baby arrives. Not to mention diapers and clothes.

I haven't read the rest of this thread but I'll add more fun facts.

In the evening you smoke cigars in the study while you listen to old records of classic jazz in your vintage smoking jacket. (You should move that outside when the baby is born) :)!

To all subcribers of my 411 (it can't be only me, can it?):

Our baby girl Micah Lyn was born Friday, July 15, 2011 at 6:55 a.m. She was 8 lbs. 12 ounces, 19.5". Mom and Micah are doing great and I am thanking God for the dad-drenaline that has been keeping me awake when needed.

I haven't been around much, but I've been reading posts when I can and trying to remember to keep my players alive.

I'll post some pictures soon.

Cheers.

Wow! Sure has been awhile.

I've been thinking about this place a lot and thought I'd stop by. Sadly, it seems to be a desolate ghost town.

It's been fun reading back.

Here's some updates

1) I have 3 kids now and I have one on the way in about a month or so.
2) Still like BlackBerry; though, I'm quite a bit disappointed in how they ran the company into obscurity. I now have a Galaxy S8, but I have the BB virtual Keyboard on it and a few other BB features that I find work to keep me productive.
3) Found a place that runs an actual old school BBS over the Internet. I've been playing LORD there. Not a lot of people there yet, but it's been growing. The Lord game has been up for about 30 days, I've been there about a week. No one is at level 12 yet, but we're starting to share the experience and work our way up.
4) Reading back, I'm remembering how fun it was here and how nice it was to have some nice online friendships. Reading back makes me miss it all.
5) There's not a lot of posts here lately, but I wonder if people are at least logging in and reading.

Well, that's all I've got. Just thought I'd post and say hello. Hope everyone is doing well.

Cheers!

Nostalgia hit me today. Congrats on all the littles! I feel like every single one of you has left me in the dust. And, since I can be narcissistic at times, too, here's an update on me [not that I think you don't deserve all the attention, Bobaloo]:

I'll be 40 next June. I was freakin' 25 when I started hitting this joint up like it was crack.
I divorced, then remarried, the same man that has driven bat-shit crazy for nearly 18 years.
No babies. Ever. Except for my niece, Emily, who just turned 13 and my nephew, Riley, who will be 9 in just a couple weeks. (Ya'll remember when they were born?! PROUD AUNTIE ALERT)
My momma died March 6, 2014. I graduated college 6 weeks later with an Applied Associates of Science degree in Office Administration. (So no more vents about her.)
I quit working in September of 2015. My health, regretfully, is steadily declining. I won't bore anyone with the exhaustive list of details, but I will say Fibromyalgia tops the list and I live my life by spoons. (Also no more vents about my employer(s). I worked myself so damn hard, my body finally gave a nice big F-U.)

Fine Booty, are you out there? Just wanted to give you a shout-out and a thanks for being my very first customer all those years ago. I have made tremendous strides since I quit working for the Other Man in starting my own genealogy business. Blog, website, Facebook page, paying customers - the whole nine yards. A lot of of it within the last year. I even taught a class last month! However, I've had to put the kibosh on it for now. But you were one of the first to push me to at least give it a try. I owe you a bit of my success. :dancing: Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ::wub::

I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled Bobaloo station. :whistles:
