I didn't catch a fairy until after I killed the dragon and the extra HP were through ultra ale since I was in low spirits

No surprise, I got the first strike, used Light shield and then started in with Thief attacks. I used mindheal when I was down to about 500-700 HP and he was down to 6500, used a pinch to finish him off (not difficult when he's down to 350 hp!)

I'm guessing it would be over 90% if I had had a fairy.
