I will try to play casually in Blue this round.Need some warm-up, I believe.
And then back to Red next round.I decided I am gonna win a round in red this year.

Lord is still the best game ever, and this forum is still the one with most interesting people.
(even when I HATE, still HATE, HATE A LOT , this "forum template", I never got used to it... probably never will... and yes, this IS a problem when you want to be around...)

Well, let's see if I get to level 2 today.... lol

I refuse to acknowledge Amadeus' presence until I know he's sticking around.

The one-level-below-only player kill restriction really hampers advancement in these levels.

I think that is why a lot of players stay at level 8 rather than 9- to avoid giving exp to people at level 10.

Yes, advancing past level 9 should only be done when it gets you a kill that gives you enough experience to go on up to 12 (at least on the first run to 12). It's a card you can only play once, so you have to make it count.

Personally I wouldn't try going up to 12 without at least 14 million exp because you are pretty much screwed if you end up at 11... You're never going to find a level 10 to kill and the level 12s die to the dragon or get accused of camping so if you get stuck on 11, your going to keep losing exp every day and then where are you? its not like your safe logging out in the Inn, your still going to get killed, and then your at a net negative every day if you can't get a player kill.

I'm at level 8 with wan's weapon/armor of death and 14 mill experience. 600,000 gold.

Should I make a run at level 12, or gold up until 1 million to get better armor before the run.

I would, personally. 1mil/200k will get you 1mil gold on level 11 if you use skills wisely, and is survivable on level 12 if you make it. The biggest risk is getting stuck at level 10, which you can mitigate somewhat by jennie/hott before Gandalf.

I went for it yesterday. Beat level 10 master easily, level 11 master took out my horse so I pummeled him, then lost to Turgon. Had high spirits today and used hott and beat Turgon easily. Didn't even need hott. Then hit the forest and was instantly killed by Mutated Black Widow, lol. But it matters not, I'm level 12 and can't lose that. ::violin::

I've made it to 12 with 200k/200k before, but it gets kinda dicey, and it was luck to get past gandalf and turgon.
