Headball

Postby Walker on Sun May 06, 2012 3:00 pm

Since I'm not playing to win this round, I decided to boot Olivia. I've noticed that when I play headball, one of three things happens: I feel invigorated and gain a FF, she insults me and I lose a FF, or she bites my armour and it says I don't know how to sew it. In the last case, does my defense go down? And actually, my defense seems to be higher than ever; I've beaten king vidion pretty easily the last couple days; maybe it's bugged and actually goes up?

Outcomes below.

Maxing out the player stats had no effect on having the skill to sew.

Is it possible to get out of this cycle and to the normal kiss/give info?

I'm not sure, I tried at least 5 times in a row to break the cycle unsuccessfully, I kept losing a ff every time.

I've apologized to Olivia many times in experiments and the apology has never been accepted.

In older versions the .dat file wasn't initialized when the game was reset and it was possible to inherit a grudge from a previous round. I mentioned it to Seth Able and he had no idea that that was happening, he fixed it in the next version though.

It isn't initialized here either, but we explicitly delete the extended data when we do a round reset.

You lack the necessary skill needed to sew your Coat.

Just a wild guess - if you had maxed out skills would anything different happen? Or is the use of the word "skill" just coincidental?

From memory of tmo's rewrite code, stats do affect the ability to sew.
