I am going to graph the week of June 21-27 regarding points gained versus points lost for a player like me who refuses to initiate a player fights. I will post the findings for all and posterity, it is all fun. I don't take this game as seriously as I did at first, it is after all just a diversion. Have fun.

If you don't play for 6 days, you'll be resurrected by the game at midnight on the 3rd and 6th days, and people will kill you, and you'll lose 10% of your experience each time anyway. I think the round will be over before the end of your graph week, but in general this is how it would go, if you were trying "to stay dead".
I totally get the experimentation bug that bit you. I once experimented with purposely going for horse kills for the first two dragons in a competitive round. It worked out pretty well. I learned some valuable information (and I even won that round) which can help other players decide if the controversial "purposeful horse kill" route is for them or not. But I'd venture to say that, overall, experimentation which furthers or clarifies competitive play will be taken as a little more interesting/relevant/useful than experimentation which explores non-competitive angles of the game.
